Is Beautiful Travel Imagery Dead?

Have we found all the beautiful places?

I was recently talking to a travel client.

We discussed that with the advent of social media and the number of photographers, videographers, and "influencers", there are very few places left in the world that people haven't seen.

His point was that it's not just about creating beautiful imagery anymore.

It's about the story behind the experience that drives people to book a trip or travel somewhere.

I've definitely seen that in my career.

Do people still want to see beautiful imagery? Absolutely!

Is that enough anymore to get someone to book a trip? Absolutely not.

It's all about showcasing the experience, not just pretty pictures.

At Story Directive we have found the best way to do that is with a strategic narrative video campaign backed with photos.

What do you think? Have we found all the beautiful places?

Are there any undiscovered places left?
